Phone Number Verification Privacy Notice: The third-party android app that you wish to access offers a number of ways to authorize you to sign up or sign in to it. One way to do so is by using the AShield phone number verification service (the “Verification Service”) to verify your phone number.
 
By signing the app and agreeing to use the Verification Service you agree to the terms of this Privacy Notice, the AShield Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
 
What This Privacy Notice Covers: This Notice: (a) describes our privacy practices that are specific to your use of the Verification Service; and (b) is supplemental to and generally consistent with the Privacy Policy but to the extent of any inconsistency, this Notice overrules the Privacy Policy.
 
Purpose of processing: If you decide to use the Verification Service, Authentication Service and share your phone number with AShield to be authorized to sign up or log in to a third-party android app, AShield will use your phone number to trigger a confirmation code that can be used to verify your phone number.
 
If you subsequently wish to sign up or log in to other third-party apps that use the Verification Service, AShield will use the information that has been previously shared with it to verify your phone number to enable you to be authorized and authenticate to sign up or log in to such third-party apps, without the need for confirmation code an additional SMS based verification.
 
Information we collect: If you decide to use the Verification Service, AShield will collect the following information to provide the service:
 
Your phone number; information about the device you are using such as device ID and SIM serial number; and other information that the publisher of the third-party app that you are seeking to access may choose to share with AShield to enable it to use the AShield Verification Service in its app. If you decide not to use the Verification Service, but still wish to log in to the third-party app, you are free to use one of the other methods that the third-party app offers for authorization to sign up or log in or verifying your phone number.
 
How we use information that we collect: AShield uses the information it receives to provide and improve its services, including to provide a safer user environment and better user experience and for personalizing the same. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information about the ways AShield collects, uses, processes and shares personal information.

Limitation of Liability: Ashield Technologies Pvt. Ltd. will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages in connection with this agreement or the products in any manner, including liabilities resulting from (1) The use or the inability to use the website content or products; (2) The cost of procuring substitute products or content; (3) Any products purchased or obtained or transactions entered into through the website; or (4) Any lost profits you allege.

AShield’s entire liability, and your exclusive remedy, in law, in equity, or otherwise, with respect to the website content and products and/or for any breach of this agreement is solely limited to the amount you paid, less shipping and handling, for products purchased via the website.

Indemnification: You will release, indemnify, defend and hold harmless Ashield, and any of its contractors, agents, employees, officers, directors, shareholders, affiliates and assigns from all liabilities, claims, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees and expenses, of third parties relating to or arising out of (1) this Agreement or the breach of your warranties, representations and obligations under this Agreement; (2) the Website content or your use of the Website content; (3) the Products or your use of the Products (including Trial Products); (4) any intellectual property or other proprietary right of any person or entity; (5) your violation of any provision of this Agreement; or (6) any information or data you supplied to AShield. When AShield is threatened with suit or sued by a third party, AShield may seek written assurances from you concerning your promise to indemnify AShield; your failure to provide such assurances may be considered by AShield to be a material breach of this Agreement. AShield will have the right to participate in any defense by you of a third-party claim related to your use of any of the Website content or Products, with counsel of AShield choice at its expense. AShield will reasonably cooperate in any defense by you of a third-party claim at your request and expense. You will have sole responsibility to defend AShield against any claim, but you must receive AShield prior written consent regarding any related settlement. The terms of this provision will survive any termination or cancellation of this Agreement or your use of the Website or Products.
