Software Licensing JEM software is provided and activated through cloud based licenses subscribed by the customer (through JCI Channels), in 1 or 3 year renewable options (see Ordering Information). The licenses are all inclusive with software, technical support, maintenance, and revision releases. Revision releases include new enhancements and are indicated by a new release number and “what’s new” information. The license subscription fees do not cover any labor or other incidental costs. Newly placed 1-year subscriptions are active for 1 year from the date the license is activated. Newly placed 3-year subscriptions are active for 3 years from the date the license is activated. Licenses are not automatically renewed. Users must renew the license at the end of the agreement. Thirty (30) days before a license (1yr or 3 yr) is set to expire, users are notified of the expiration at each login up to the day of expiration. The notification will say “Please contact your Building Controls Representative to renew license immediately”. If the user does not renew within the allotted time frame, a grace period of 30 days goes into effect; data will continue to be collected but the user will not be able to see any Dashboards, Reports, Work Order management, etc. After the 30th day, data collection will cease. Upon further login, the user will see a screen notification that the subscription has expired and to contact their Building Controls Representative.
