Starmind is a third-party software tool intended to facilitate and encourage communication and collaboration between employees. It is aimed at making know-how which is already somewhere in the company readily available for everybody anywhere. Participation is completely voluntary. If you decide to use the Starmind service and submit a question on whatever topic, you will always remain anonymous. By contrast people who answer an (anonymous) question will be identified by their name, and can thereby display their knowledge and skills. Starmind is not moderated and the answers given might be incorrect; a high rating of an answer may indicate that the answer is correct and provides useful expertise, but in the end it is every employee's own responsibility to use the Starmind service, and the answers found therein, in an appropriate way that best suits their needs. Existing policies remain valid and are fully applicable to the Starmind service. For example, all requirements and limitations in connection with the sharing of information in general - as contained, for example, in a Data Classification and Handling Policy - also apply when employees share such information through the Starmind system; please note that only information that is either "public" or "internal use only" (as per the definition in the Data Classification and Handling Policy) may be shared. Further, please also note that all communication processed through the Starmind system must be linked to a professional need. If you decide to use the Starmind service, you acknowledge and agree that you will disclose certain data to and Starmind such as your name and email address as well as the questions and answers that you submit (as stated above, however, you submit any questions on an anonymous basis). The data you disclose will be hosted on a secure server in Switzerland. Neither nor Starmind will share the data with any third party, and the data will only be processed as far as necessary in order to run and maintain the Starmind service. In particular, your questions and answers will not be used for any internal performance review purposes.
