The end user shall use the CDS applications and services solely based on the intended use as documented for CE-marking. The intended use for each CDS application is documented on an individual app level. Generally, the Cambio CDS Systems are Application, are software applications designed to support the clinician at the point of care with identifying individuals with certain diseases, or with a high risk of a certain disease or condition. Based on the assessed risk of the patient, the CDS Application further assists the clinicians by making clinical decisions such as creating a referral for identified individuals to see a specialist. The CDS Applications implements abridged and localized version of international or national guidelines that outline the recommended course of medical care for individuals. Clinicians shall never disregard their clinical expertise and solely trust on a recommendation or assessment generated by a CDS application. The generated assessment or recommendation shall always be considered together with a clinician’s clinical expertise. Software from Cambio CDS is provided to end users through tenders or other purchasing processes between caregiving organisations and Cambio. The agreement between Cambio CDS and customers usually make up a license model that allows for use of Cambio CDS applications. Maintenance and software IP is also regulated in the agreements, these matters are context dependent. The most common way is for Cambio to assist in maintenance of CDS applications (in cooperation with the customer). The IP is usually shared between the caregiving organisation and Cambio.
